Joshua D'Amato

Hi everyone!  My name is Joshua D'Amato and I'm looking forward to being one of your Vice Chairs for BMUN 70! I'm in my third year at Berkeley, studying Chemical Biology and Molecular & Cell Biology, concentrating in computational chemistry and neurobiology. I'm originally from New Jersey but lived in England until high school, and now I call Berkeley home. Outside of BMUN, when all of my time isn't eaten up by problem sets, I like to read, hike, play guitar, and listen to Taylor Swift.  Moving around so much is what got me interested in international relations and politics, so I did MUN throughout high school. I was further drawn in by the educational aspects of conferences, so was excited to get involved in BMUN as a freshman. The topics are ethically and historically complex and I'm thrilled to hear all of your insights and solutions at conference. I hope we can all learn something from one another!

Hi everyone,  My name is Sinchana Srinivas and I am super excited to be one of your vice chairs this upcoming conference! I am a sophomore, intending to major in Public Health and Political Economy. I was born in the Bay Area but moved to South India when I was in elementary school and moved back to Southern California after a few years and am happy to call all these places my home:) One of the best things that came out of all this moving around was my love for international affairs and humanitarian policy. This is my seventh year of being involved with all things Model UN and I am so grateful to be part of an organization as established and committed as BMUN!! Outside of BMUN, I love spending time learning more about the world through entertainment and food - so you can definitely catch me bingewatching international shows or experimenting in the kitchen trying to recreate a traditional recipe. I am also super passionate about healthcare policy and management and am involved...

Hello! My name is Vijay Tatavarthi and I am one of your vice chairs. I'm currently a sophomore at UC Berkeley studying Computer Science and Data Science. I moved around a lot growing up, but for the last couple of years before coming to Berkeley I was living in the Bay Area. In high school, I had never done MUN and what really encouraged me to join this organization was their commitment to education and helping students learn about international affairs.  Outside of BMUN, I'm a big sports fan and enjoy spending time watching basketball and football with friends. Apart from sports, I also enjoy spending my time working, hiking, and playing poker. I am extremely excited for BMUN this year, not only because it will be my first time as a chair for the conference but also because we have great topics setup and I'm really looking forward to hearing each and every one of your ideas and solutions.
